Kitchen Transformations

The simple answer is ‘No’. There’s no reason why a flat pack kitchen needs to be of cheaper quality than a custom made kitchen!

In fact our flat pack kitchens are produced on exactly the same machinery as a custom made, $50,000 kitchen. The cabinets are constructed out of the same HMR (high moisture resistant) 16mm white board and we offer 2pac and melamine door and panel options of the highest quality.

If you do not want to do the installation of your new kitchen yourself and would rather leave it to a professional, no problem! We have access to a team of skilled installers that will look after your kitchen project.

After you’re happy with the design of your new kitchen and have given the go-ahead to proceed, a project team will visit your home, check measurements, and go through the timeline with you to make sure that everything runs smoothly and that you are kept up to date with the progress of your
kitchen.

If you are installing the kitchen yourself and you do not have a preferred plumber or electrician, we’re happy to provide you with a list of preferred tradespeople.

This list includes plumbers, electricians, and home handymen. The businesses on our list are ones that our happy customers have recommended as well.

The price of your kitchen depends on many variables, such as number of cabinets, finishes, and accessories.

To give you a rough idea:

  • An average price for a kitchen with standard finishes is around $5,000-$10,000.
  • A basic kitchen can cost as little as $3,000.
  • Premium additions to a kitchen can add on average between $4,000-$12,000 to a kitchen. This includes things such as granite benchtops & splashbacks, specialised mechanisms, and appliances.

We love this question. Let us give you the simple answer, but it is worth reading on.

No, we do not offer customisation of our flat pack units, they come in set sizes and configurations. BUT because of the way that flat pack kitchens started out, there is a negative perception around the design of a kitchen when using flat packs.

So it’s not so much about being able to customise the cabinets, but having the design of the kitchen done by a professional that is able to work with the cabinetry to give you the kitchen of your dreams.

When you select a kitchen style that has a profile on the doors and panels, there are some panels that do not have the profile, such as the tall pantry panel. This is because these panels are often connected to another unit, and having the profile cut into the panel just wouldn’t work.

The back of the breakfast bar comes in a number of set sized panels, just like many custom made kitchens. There will be times where these panels are needed to be cut to make up the total length.

We charge a design consultation fee for the designers time, instead of just increasing the cost of the cabinetry to cover this cost. This is explained during your Discovery call.

Many places that do not charge for this service, end up raising their prices across the board to make up for the time spent in initial consults.
